The staff at Reel World Theology mourn the unjust killings of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and the many who came before because we believe that #BlackLivesMatter.
We affirm the Imago Dei inherent in all human life. In this, we work and pray for justice for all people of color, condemn police brutality, and strive for the end to systemic racism in all its forms.
We believe it is important first to listen but also to engage in conversations about difficult things. If you are interested in film discussions where we try to better understand how our faith intersects with these topics, pleaseconsider listening to any of the following episodes of our podcast:
#189 – The Hate U Give and Code Switching
#180 – BlacKKKlansman and Dealing With Our History
#144 – Detroit and When the Gospel Gets Political
#129 – Get Out and Listening to the Sunken Place
#113 – The Birth of a Nation and Systemic Injustice
