On this episode of the Reel World Theology Podcast:
Back to back David Fincher movies. If things haven’t gotten too intense for you, then join us as we talk about Gone Girl. It’s dark, gritty, and stars Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike. It gives us the chance to explore whether this movie is really about marriage or not, keeping up appearances, the masks we wear, and if this is the kind of movie you take your seventeen year old sister to.

First listen and I loved your banter. I just wanna push back slightly. In Gone Girl Nick stays and sleeps in the same bed because of the baby. Not for no reason. It’s truly a fatherly thing to do. Also he sleeps next to her because he knows her. He’s not afraid. He knows exactly what did she would or wouldn’t do. Just a slight issue.
Thanks for listening Joe! Also, appreciate your perspective– didn’t even think about it that way. Touché.
